All the while having fun and building friendships that last a lifetime.

What is Illinois Freemasonry?

Illinois Freemasonry is a brotherhood. It’s men of character from every background coming together in virtually every town and city across Illinois to have fun, become better men, and build a better world . The Freemasons of Illinois serve our great state through philanthropy, fundraisers and community events. We’re a fraternity building on generations of tradition, imbuing the principles of brotherly love, relief, and truth in our members.

For over 200 years, Freemasons have shared the bonds of brotherhood while serving the communities of Illinois. Today, Illinois Freemasonry is a fraternity under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of Illinois A. F. & A. M., which comprises more than 420 Lodges and some 45,000 Freemasons who continue to invest in self-improvement and helping others. That dedicated service is supported by the work of our several Illinois Masonic Charities programs.
